Dr. Morgan 200pxDr. Morgan is a 1992 graduate of the Ontario Veterinary College in Ontario, Canada. She practiced small animal medicine for seven years in the Niagara Peninsula. She earned her certification in veterinary spinal manipulation from the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association in 1998 and then went on to receive her certification in veterinary acupuncture from the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society in 1999.
After crossing the Canadian border, Dr. Morgan practiced both traditional and holistic medicine for over six years at Silver Spring Animal Wellness Center in Milwaukee, gaining experience with herbs and nutrition to accompany her growing knowledge in complementary therapies. In 2005, she completed training in canine rehabilitation at the Canine Rehabilitation Institute® in Florida, and then joined the team at Pewaukee Veterinary Service in 2006 as director of the Wisconsin clinic's rehabilitation center.

Peter Gaveras, DVMDr. Peter Gaveras grew up in Milwaukee and currently lives in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. He received both an undergraduate degree and a DVM degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1981 and 1987 respectively. After that, he earned his MBA from the Keller Graduate School of Management in 1989. His special interests include feline and internal medicine.

Before joining our team in June 2015, Dr. Gaveras practiced at many other animal hospitals and emergency practices in Southeast Wisconsin. He has even practiced here at Silver Spring Animal Wellness Center in 2000-2003. We are thrilled to have him back on the team!

Dr. Gaveras has served on the executive board and various committees for the Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association, and he is currently an active board member of the Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Foundation, as well as the Milwaukee Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Gaveras' favorite part of being a veterinarian is celebrating the bond between his patients and their families. When not at work, he enjoys photography, going to jazz concerts and flying. He and his wife Deb enjoy two cats at home — Willy and Lou.

Katie Heinrich, DVMDr. Heinrich has been part of the Silver Spring Animal Wellness Center team since June of 2006. A local, she grew up in Greendale, Wisconsin and now resides in Cedarburg. Dr. Heinrich received her BS degree in Biochemistry from Marquette University in 2002 and her DVM degree from the University of Wisconsin in 2006. Dr. Heinrich then joined us after graduating from veterinary school. We are so pleased she chose to practice at Silver Spring Animal Wellness Center!

Dr. Heinrich's medical interests include dermatology, internal medicine, holistic medicine, and pain management. She has been a practicing acupuncturist for many years. As TMJ4’s veterinary "Ask the Expert," Dr. Heinrich has offered advice and pet health information to the community bi-weekly on the live news over the past several years. Dr. Heinrich is excited to offer her skills, compassion, and expertise to pets in need throughout the Milwaukee area.
